Moxy ("Moxy," "we," "us") is a daily habit and self care app. It helps you build simple daily rituals with mood check ins, a ritual checklist, gratitude and affirmation prompts, weekly challenges, a journal, and a personal photo moodboard. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Account information. When you create an account or sign in through Supabase Auth, we collect your email address, your name if provided by your sign in method, and an account ID. You may sign in through Apple or Google.
Setup answers. We use the answers you give during setup, including your name, age, goals, lifestyle, bedtime and screen time preferences, to build your plan.
Content you create. Your mood check ins, completed rituals, gratitude notes, journal entries and challenge progress are saved on your device. This local storage does not provide automatic syncing of that content across your devices.
Photos. Photos you add through Moxy's moodboard and daily ritual features are saved on your device. When you make a ritual photo sticker, Moxy uses Apple Vision on your device to separate the subject from its background. These photos are not sent to OpenAI for processing. You can decline camera or photo access and continue using the other available features.
Usage and diagnostics. We collect usage events, including which screens and features you use, and crash and error diagnostics as described below.
Subscription status. If you purchase a subscription, we receive your subscription status from Apple. We never see or store your payment card details; payments are handled by Apple.
AI reflections are optional. Only after you select "Create AI reflection" does Moxy send that journal entry's text and its writing prompt through our Supabase service to OpenAI. OpenAI generates a suggested title, reflection, insight and affirmation. You can keep writing or save your entry without requesting an AI reflection.
Your account ID is used by our service to authorize the request and is not included in the content sent to OpenAI. Photos, mood check ins and ritual records are not included in this request.
Moxy requests that OpenAI not store the response. Processing remains subject to OpenAI's applicable data handling and retention terms; this is not a promise of zero provider retention. The generated reflection is saved with your journal draft on your device. You can save the entry to your journal or keep editing it. AI reflections can be inaccurate and are not medical advice.
We use PostHog to understand which screens and features are used, measure completion of app flows, and diagnose problems. Events include app version, screen names, interaction types and an installation identifier. After you sign in, we associate usage events with your account ID. These analytics are not anonymous.
Session replay is disabled. Journal entry text and personal photos are not included in our explicit analytics events. We do not send these PostHog events to advertising networks.
We use Sentry for crash and error diagnostics, including error details, operating system version and app version. Automatic inclusion of personal information and Sentry session replay are disabled.
We use AppsFlyer on iOS to measure app installs and app opens and understand which advertising campaigns bring people to Moxy. AppsFlyer receives an installation identifier, the Apple vendor identifier, IP address, app and operating system versions, and device information. This integration does not collect the Apple advertising identifier, account IDs, email addresses, journal content, photos, or purchase events. AppsFlyer may share eligible install and app open information with Meta for aggregated advertising measurement. Aggregated Advanced Privacy is enabled for users who have not consented to tracking. Apple SKAdNetwork also provides delayed campaign measurement.
If you enable notifications, Moxy may send reminders for your daily rituals and streaks, as well as subscription offers when you do not have an active subscription. These notifications are scheduled on your device using local app state; no personal data is sent to a notification delivery service. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.
We use your data to:
We share limited information with the service providers and advertising measurement partners described in this policy. Journal content and personal photos are not included in our advertising measurement events.
Account services use Supabase. Your app data and authentication state are saved on your device. Requests to our services use HTTPS. No storage or transmission system can guarantee complete security.
You can delete your account from Settings, Account, Delete Account. This removes your account and profile data from our servers. You can also contact us with questions about your data.
Your journal data, moodboard photos and daily ritual photos are saved on your device. You can delete entries and photos through the app. Text submitted for an AI reflection is processed by our service and OpenAI as described above. Deleting local content does not establish deletion from a service provider's permitted retention systems.

Moxy is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
